Robert Overall

Robert has enjoyed a long career in both the public and private sector. In the private sector he enjoyed roles as Procurement Director and Managing Director of an International Group of Companies. In the Public Sector, Robert has operated at Executive Director level with several London Boroughs and as Deputy Chief Executive at County Council level, leading services such as those within the responsibility of the Community Services Board. Following his Local Authority experience, Robert spent 2 years working within Central Government, providing the Defence Infrastructure Organisation, within the MOD, with his commercial expertise, helping them reduce the cost of operating their extensive military estate. More recently Robert has worked at the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, as Director of MyPlace. Here, he was responsible for the leadership and management of all Council assets, including 20,000 council homes. Robert is passionate about customer service and engagement. He has used his commercial expertise, gained in the private sector, to transform performance in Local Authorities and their trading vehicles, making a real difference to residents’ experiences. He will chair the Community Services Board.
